Dr Anu Augustine joined as UGC -JRF for Ph.D. in Botany at the Indian Institute of Spices Research, ICAR, Calicut, soon after her M.Sc. Her doctoral work was on ‘Evaluation of selected genotypes, production of soma clones and their utilization in paprika (Capsicum annuum L.) She joined Kannur University in 2003 as Asst.
